Solid State of Mind is currently seeking a talented, motivated and creative individual to join us as a Machine Learning Expert. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that is currently integrating recent advances in cognition, neuroscience, machine learning and microelectronics to build autonomous artificial intelligence.
The successful candidate will research and deploy state of the art and leading-edge AI technologies.
Key responsibilities:
● Contribute to the research and development of novel AI building blocks
● Establish training pipelines for the AI
● Write robust and version-controlled code
● Create internal and comprehensive documentation
● Collaborate with the robotics team for the integration of the AI algorithms on robots
● Experiment with real-world data to validate, evaluate and improve the algorithms
● Contribute to a collaborative and stimulating work environment
● Be active in the AI community of Montréal and elsewhere to find new possibilities for
collaboration and to bring new ideas
Requirements:
● B.Eng. in computer or electrical engineering, or in a related field
● 5+ years of experience in artificial Intelligence development
● Advanced knowledge in a wide range of machine learning methods including supervised,
unsupervised, self-supervised, and reinforcement learning
● Advanced knowledge in data-driven and knowledge-driven modelling approaches
● Advanced knowledge in deep learning, Bayesian inference and symbolic reasoning
● Experience in various artificial intelligence domains of application, such as computer
vision, natural language processing, and robotics
● Strong mathematical background
● Excellent analysis skills for mapping problems to methods
● Excellent synthesis skills for developing novel methods
● Creative, open-minded, strong sense of responsibility
● Excellent communication skills
● Knowledge in cognitive neuroscience is a plus
● Knowledge in robotics is a plus
● MSc or PhD in computer or electrical engineering is a plus
